R. Douglas Hanson II

Upon graduating from law school, Doug Hanson served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul G. Summers, Tennessee Court of Intermediate Appeals Judge.

He also composed appellate opinions for retired Court of Appeals Judge sitting as Special Judge, the Honorable Paul R. Summers.  Mr. Hanson was offered a Judicial Clerkship with Justice Janice M. Holder of the Tennessee Supreme Court.  He served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Justice Holder and Staff Attorney for the Tennessee Supreme Court for the next three years.  Doug then joined Glassman, Edwards, Wade & Wyatt where he represented large insurance companies and specialized in legal malpractice, medical malpractice, and nursing home malpractice defense.  Mr. Hanson also served as counsel for Walgreens Drug Store in West Tennessee and as General Counsel for Graceland Nursing Center.

While at Glassman, Edwards, Wade and Wyatt, Mr. Hanson served as co-counsel for plaintiffs in four class action litigations that resulted in combined settlements in excess of $34 million.  Mr. Hanson later joined the Adelman Law Firm as a partner where he primarily represented large nursing home clients including AHC/THM and Beverly, Kindred, Provident and Tara Corporation.  Mr. Hanson has since dedicated his career to representing plaintiffs and protecting the rights of individuals injured by nursing homes, hospitals and large corporations.
