Barb has worked with Marcus Michles as a legal assistant for approximately 12 years.
She is the firm's senior medical malpractice paralegal and currently works with the Michles & Booth medical malpractice team, which consists of Marcus Michles, Rainey Booth, Chris Janes and Tim Brooks, M.D. She has, however, also handled liability cases, such as motor vehicle accidents, slip & fall matters and premises liability cases.
Barb attended legal secretarial school in Miami and is a Certified Legal Assistant through NALA, as well as a Florida Registered Paralegal. Prior to moving to Pensacola in 1991, Barb lived in North Carolina and worked with a defense firm that specialized in medical malpractice, arson, and product liability cases, such as Jeep rollover cases. When asked, she is quick to say that she prefers working for a plaintiff-oriented law firm rather than a defense firm because she enjoys working with and helping people. Barb assists in preparing PowerPoint presentations for mediations and trials, as well as attending these events with the attorneys. Barb and her husband enjoy living on the water, boating, and spending time with their family, which includes a rambunctious Australian Shepherd.
