Educated at the University of Miami and University of Miami School of Medicine in Chemistry and Medicine, Dr. Brooks is a native Floridian.His medical background includes an Internship in Pediatrics and Residency in Anesthesiology from the University of Florida. He has also held research and teaching positions during his career.
Dr. Brooks is certified as a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Anesthesiologists. He is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida and is also an Associate in the American College of Legal Medicine.
He was a member of the Medical Center Clinic for 12 years where is acted as a Member of the Board of Directors. His practice was based at West Florida Hospital in the specialties of Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
He is currently the Medical Director of the law firm Michles & Booth. There he coordinates medical record reviews, interacts with expert witnesses and acts as a consultant to the attorneys of the firm in the area of medical-legal litigation.
Dr. Brooks has written, published and lectured in various areas of medicine. He is also the co-founder of Panhandle Research Foundation, a not-for-profit organization. A complete CV with references is available upon request.
